VP, Project Management

 

Job Summary:

This position manages programs associated with Diversus Health’s strategic and/or operational goals and is responsible for designing, coordinating, and improving the internal and external programs of the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.
  • Daily program management throughout the program life cycle.
  • Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, workplan, budget, and timing for new programs.
  • Develop program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement.
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budget for programs and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives.
  • Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Utilize your deep background and leadership in Portfolio, Program & Project management.
  • Gathering feedback and presenting insights.
  • Designs and/or participate in quality projects which support achievement of organizational strategic initiatives and assures activities are prioritized.
  • Use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
  • Effectively interacts and communicates with other Diversus Health officers, staff, clients, customers, partners, etc.
  • Help define individual and department goals, activity metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Build, grow, and manage the Project Management Office (PMO) as well as manage the Project Portfolio.
  • Provide oversight of all projects, guiding Project Managers as needed.
  • Promotes, supports, and demonstrates Diversus Health mission, vision, and values through both behavior and job performance.
  • Educates organizational members and project participants on project management and quality improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Prioritizes and establishes direction for improvement efforts based on alignment of clinical performance with patient safety and pro-active reduction of risk.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience in applying program management methodology and techniques.
  • Ability to conceptualize and explain program development, evidence-based practice, resource management, and data reporting.
  • Excellent management skills: managing all levels of staff, managing functions and processes, the ability to motivate staff to excellence, and work planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications (written and verbal) skills.
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to lead change in a positive, proactive, and collaborative way.
  • The ability to find innovative ways to solve/resolve problems.
  • Ability to focus both strategically and tactically to achieve business goals.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
  • Experience in process improvement methodology.
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Project and other MS Office products and the ability to learn new tools as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business or healthcare field.
  • 5+ years in an advanced management role (preference given to those with program management experience).
  • Certification and/or experience in Project Management, Agile Methods, or Lean Six Sigma (LSS).
  • Previous experience working in the healthcare service sector and/or quality improvement programs preferred.
  • Outstanding working knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with organizational leadership and internal and/or external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Proven experience leading multiple large initiatives and project plans to a successful conclusion in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others - both internal and external clients and peers.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
