Criminal Justice Program Coordinator

 

Coleman Professional Services, a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs, is seeking a criminal justice program coordinator. This position develops, implements, and facilitates coordination of the Belmont, Harrison, and Monroe County Jail Diversion Program that targets adults at-risk of incarceration who can be better served through treatment of their mental illness and/or substance use disorder.

Individual will be responsible for creating a comprehensive program for the roll out of the Jail Diversion Program, ensure program plans are executed and completed timely, and coordiante with partners to ensure actions steps are complete.

Daily operation responsibilities include community education through crisis intervention training and mental health first aid, development of partnerships with county jail systems, judges, attorneys and first responders; marketing within the community, and maintain data outcomes according to contact requirements.

Must have Master’s degree in human services related field or marketing. Have and maintain a NPI and Medicaid provider number. Have execellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to work effectively and collaboratively as a team, interacting with clients, vendors, partners, and employees. Able to exercise balanced judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.  Able to handle difficult or confronting situations in a calm, consistent, professional, equitable manner.

Preferred: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field with according license (LPC, LSW, or higher) and 3 years experience in mental health/criminal justice system
